World Cancer Day 4 February 2017

16 Jan 2017

World Cancer Day unites the world’s population in the fight against cancer. It aims to save millions of preventable deaths each year by raising awareness and education about the disease, pressing governments and individuals across the world to take action.

Join us in showing the world that “we can, I can”… get involved in the fight against cancer.

World Cancer Day explores how everyone – individuals, organisations, and communities – together can help reduce the global burden of cancer.

Recognising the unifying power of sport to transform lives, societies and the world. World Cancer Day is asking people to show their support through sport by raising awareness among athletes, fans, officials, coaches and the community.

Being active and choosing a healthy lifestyle are key messages promoted by World Cancer Day.

World Cancer Day has become one of the most supported international awareness days. In 2016 alone, close to 1,000 activites took place in over 100 countries. Through traditional and social media outreach, the world had nearly 18 billion opportunities to see, hear and read about the day.
