Our New Zealand Friends Help Spread The Word!
Targeting Cancer is delighted to present a terrific video featuring our New Zealand supporters promoting the campaign and the importance of radiation therapy as a curative cancer treatment.
The ‘I Will Help You’ video, which was made to mark this year’s World Cancer Day, features radiation professionals from a number of radiation therapy departments across New Zealand, including oncologists and radiation therapists from Wellington’s Bowen Hospital.
It has the theme of World Cancer Day, ‘IAmandIWill’ and helps highlight the role of radiation therapy in treating cancer.
Bowen Icon Cancer Centre Manager and radiation therapist Darien Montgomerie, who helped organise the video, said the video had been a terrific team effort.
“We thought this was a great way to support World Cancer Day and promote Targeting Cancer as well,” Darien said.
“World Cancer Day is such a vital day as it helps reinforce how you as an individual can help the cancer effort and what’s been done by cancer professionals already.
“Targeting Cancer is a great campaign promoting radiation therapy and is really establishing itself in New Zealand. We want to get the message of how radiation therapy can help New Zealand cancer patients out there as well.
“It was terrific of everyone to get involved with the video and we thank them very much!”
