Australian Gastro-Intestinal Trials Group

The Australasian Gastro-Intestinal Trials Group (AGITG)

The Australian Gastro- Intestinal Trials Group, a multi-disciplinary collaborative group of medical and research professionals, conducts clinical trials and related biological research to improve treatments for gastro-intestinal (GI) cancer: those of the oesophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, large and small bowel, rectum and anus.  Radiation oncologists and radiotherapy play an important and effective role not only in AGITG clinical trials and research, but also in the treatment of people with GI cancer.
