Clinical Oncology Society of Australia

The Clinical Oncology Society of Australia (COSA) is the peak national body representing health professionals from all disciplines whose work involves the care of cancer patients. COSA members practicing in radiation oncology include radiation oncologists, radiation therapists, physicists, nurses and allied health workers involved in the care of radiotherapy patients.

COSA’s mission is to improve cancer care and control through collaboration, and radiation therapy is an excellent example of a cancer treatment which requires collaboration of many health professionals in the field.

Radiation therapy is a viable treatment option for many cancer patients and COSA applauds the “Radiation Oncology Targeting Cancer” initiative and hopes it helps to demystify some of the unknowns and concerns cancer patients may have.
