The Alan Walker Cancer Care Centre at Royal Darwin Hospital has doubled Indigenous Northern Territorians’ access to innovative radiation therapy treatment over the last 10 years. The rise in utilisation is due to the establishment of the radiation oncology service in the NT and the centre embracing new approaches including installing state of the art technology and developing culturally sensitive outreach programs to regions.
