Blacktown Hospital’s new radiation oncology services now open

Today, Blacktown Hospital’s new radiation oncology service received its first patient, Janice Moloney.
The radiation oncology service includes two new rooms for radiation treatment plus support areas, including CT scanning and consultation rooms, to accurately plan patient treatment.
Radiation Therapy is a safe and effective form of cancer treatment and involved the controlled application of radiation to cancers anywhere in the body to stop them from growing and multiplying.
