Join In The Targeting Cancer Fun Run!

24 May 2018

Fancy getting some valuable – and fun – exercise and help raise awareness of Targeting Cancer? Here’s your chance!

Targeting Cancer is once again hosting a five-kilometre fun run at this year’s RANZCR ASM in Canberra – and this year we welcome entries from the general public.

The run, which is part of the annual three-day ASM, is on Saturday, October 27 and takes place along the shores of the Canberra’s picturesque Lake Burley Griffith.

Runners are asked to be ready at 6am for a 6.15am start, with the start/finish line in Commonwealth Park.

Radiation oncologist and Targeting Cancer supporter Georgia Harris took part in the recent ESTRO fun run. You can do the same in Canberra!

“The Targeting Cancer fun run is a great part of every RANZCR ASM,” Targeting Cancer Clinical Lead A/Prof Sandra Turner said. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to help further highlight our work, the importance of radiation therapy and unite supporters.

“This year’s event will also let us promote ourselves to members of the public taking part.

“I urge everyone involved to get their hands on a Targeting Cancer shirt, singlet or cap – or maybe all three – take part and help spread the word about the campaign.”

Entry and indemnity forms and more information are available by clicking here and following the registration links.

Places must be booked beforehand and numbers are limited.

Please email Lisa Carstairs via info@targetingcancer.com.au for your Targeting Cancer fun run merchandise, including shirts, singlets and caps.
