At the age of two, Lucas Browne faced the fight of his life against a rare and aggressive brain tumour

LUCAS Brown is an energetic boy of four, who loves nothing more than cars, trucks and diggers. Life revolves around play with brother Sam, 6, daycare, building cubby houses — and regular MRI scans. Lucas from Collaroy was found to have a life-threatening malignant tumour the size of a golf ball on his brain in August 2014, when he was just two years old.

The diagnosis was Anaplastic Ependymoma — a rare and aggressive type of brain and sometimes spinal cord tumour.
